And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
Those that be near, and those that be far from thee, shall mock thee, which art infamous and much vexed.
The righteous also shall see, and fear, And shall laugh at him:
Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; But trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.
At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: Neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.
