In the context of this passage, King David was preparing his son Solomon for the building of the House of the Lord, according to what God had already determined, saying that he would build it during his rule (1 Chronicles 22:6-12). Therefore, in the knowledge of God and his faithful promises, David advises his son with wise words so that he could understand what would be the success of his reign.
«Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the LORD gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged.» (1 Chronicles 22:13)
This powerful truth that Solomon received is a teaching that shows us where the success of a child of God lies. No blessing that you can achieve will be subject to your own strength or will but it will come as a result of your obedience to God and your trust in Him.
The promise that Solomon had received to be king and to build the House of the LORD was a challenge that would only be possible to fulfill from the hand of God.
In the same way, God has great and powerful promises for you and wants you to be able to achieve them successfully, but the only way to make them come true is not in your strength or with your human wisdom, but by surrendering your life in obedience to him, with the best attitude to overcome any obstacle; This will allow to see how God's resources are made available to you so that you can see his promise fulfilled in your life because «The greatness of the man’s power is the measure of his surrender.» - William Booth
Lord, I thank you for your love and mercy that are renewed every morning. Thank you, Father, because day by day you teach me what is the correct way in which I must act to achieve each of the promises you have for my life. I ask you to help me, through your Holy Spirit, to remain faithful and obedient to you, I ask you to give me the strength I need to act with the best attitude to overcome any obstacle and thus be able to reach the new opportunities of blessings that you have for me, that you will use as means to glorify your glorious name. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
